Our Mission
Our mission is to support the evolution of independent content creation by providing tools that bring together communities through media.
A Problem, A Solution
We seek to address the problem of the profit-motivated centralization of our society's information and entertainment, which inherently produces rent-seeking "big tech" platforms or "mainstream media" networks that profit from both audience and creator manipulation.
PELE's solution is to incentivize cooperative media projects with built-in tools for decentralized cooperation gravitating around content creation, empowering both audience and creator to contribute to and reap rewards from the value of the network.

Company and Structure
The PELE protocol, network, and architecture is stewarded by PELE Network, Ltd., registered in one of the United States' most progressive jurisdictions for cryptocurrency initiatives, Wyoming.
Once the architecture and participation of the network has created a free-market valuation for the PELE token, PELE Network, Ltd. will become a legally-recognized Decentralized Autonomous Organization in the state of Wyoming.
Mythos
Pele is the Hawaiian goddess of volcanoes and fire, known as "she who shapes the sacred land." Imagine her as volcanic magma flowing across the earth. Over any terrain will she burn and destroy... essentially nothing but gravity can slow her down or stop her.
This is how we see content creation done with PELE: destructive to the traditional, stale way of doing things.
But once the lava flow has calmed, with help from the volcanic ash that settles on top of it, the affected area will become a platform for lush and nutritious soil, upon which life can thrive. This lava land fertility features key nutrients such as calcium, magnesium, sodium, potassium, phosphorous, sulfur, and—wait for it—silica.
Silica, also known as silicon dioxide, used in computing, is precisely where our host blockchain Zilliqa gets its name. This happens to be pure coincidence, yet we do find it to be an affirming nod of synchronicity from life and the outside universe.
Our vision is to see PELE become a fertile ground for a new age of news, entertainment, and information.
